Shot in Devon, England, by Finnegan Travers, this S/S22 editorial spotlights the Trade Stripe motif, which is a minimal take on hickory stripe uniforms traditionally worn by American railroad workers. Composed of yarn-dyed cotton fabric for longevity of color, the pattern is applied to garments like the S/S Trade Shirt, Trade Overall, and Trade Michigan Coat. Styles in Cornel red, Dollar green and Mizar navy have also been garment-dyed, resulting in subtle color variations throughout and an overall softer feel.
In women’s, the Trade Stripe motif is applied to pieces like the W’ Trade Coat, which takes inspiration from a classic chore coat, and the W’ L/S Trade Shirt, which has a cropped and slightly boxy silhouette.
Complementing the selection across men’s and women’s are items from the American Script program, which nods to the brand’s roots and features an array of heavyweight jersey pieces in neutral hues, accented by two-tone embroidery.
