On May 12th the Peckham Rye Music Festival starts bringing all manner of sounds to the South of London for an almost two week long celebration of music without boundaries including artists such as Addison Groove, Axel Boman or Kode9 amongst others. On the final weekend Carhartt WIP joins forces with the Cotch International team for an extra special bash. On the bill are one of the most exciting and independent outfits in US hip hop: Ethereal & Lord Narf from Atlanta's Awful Records; Terror Danjah, a pillar of the Grime scene and one of the most forward-thinking producers and DJs in the UK; as well as Congo-born, Peckham-raised afrobeat star Omo Frenchie who will play live accompanied by select special guests. On the DJ front, Martelo – who has opened for Jay-Z, toured the world with Santigold and been a resident at Fabric – performs. Along with him will be one of London's best-kept secrets on the DJ circuit, Lady Amz; long-time Cotch affiliate Neana; Peckham local BORNnBREAD; and the mighty hosts Cotch Soundsystem. To whet your appetite, check one of the latest Cotch International videos for Omo Frenchie below. If you choose to come around for a dance: expect boundless energy, heady bass and good vibes.
