Bristol is vibrating;: Simple Things Festival returns to town to take over the city's most innovative gig and club spaces for a full day of musical diversity. The line-up is huge and breathtaking. From highly established and internationally demanded artists like Warpaint, Nina Kraviz or Ben UFO to hot newcomers and legends like Red Axes, Lena Willikens, Rival Consols or dBridge: all names promise music without blinkers.
Carhartt WIP proudly presents a stage at Bristol's newest live music space SWX. Here Canadian producer and singer Jessy Lanza present her spherical electronic pop, grime MC Kano raps frisky, extroverted Atlanta base singer and producer Abra performs and London-based NTS Radio host Throwing Shade will play music amongst others.
Additionally to the one-day festival on the 22nd of October, there will be the Simple Things Finale on the next day featuring a rare live show by the American film director, screenwriter, producer, musician, editor and composer John Carpenter performing a retrospective of his soundtrack work plus new compositions taken from his Lost Themes albums. He will get accompanied by a full live band and spectacular visuals.
