Carhartt WIP proudly presents the Open Source Festival 2014. Headliner of this year's edition is the German soul earl Max Herre and his Kahedi Radio Orchestra. Together they will perform an unplugged show that features vocal and instrumental guests like Joy Denalane, Afrob or Grace. For propulsive party action Hercules and Love Affair come around to introduce their brand-new album The Feast Of The Broken Heart - a record full of reminiscences to early house music and eighties dance-pop. Also electronic producer Panda Bear - one quarter of the experimental psychedelic band Animal Collective - will play first songs from his soon to be released new album Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper. Furthermore last year's critic favorite Dean Blunt plays a rare festival show, Glasgow-based producer Koreless delivers some heavy bass vibrations and Erased Tapes Records artist Douglas Dare melts haunting singer/songwriter emotions with poetry and piano melodies. As each year the Open Source Festival also provides an insight on fresh thrilling music made in Germany. For hip hop devotees the Cologne based underground heroes Retrogott & Hulk Hodn come by to deliver loop driven grooves and winking, socially critical rhymes. As a world premiere Düsseldorf based musician Jan Schulte performs live together with Amsterdam's hottest newcomer Young Marco as Young Wolf. The festival takes place at the idyllically located racecourse in the Grafenberg forest of Düsseldorf - the perfect location for an ideal summer day with an open and diverse, dynamic and innovative musical line-up. Too get tickets, travel or accommodation information as well as the full line-up please visit the festival's web site.
