We asked Carhartt WIP rider Samu Karvonen for his top 5 self produced videos. We know, it's always a hard decission when you have to mention only 5. Thank you Samu for your time!
This is not my best stuff. I think I haven’t even done my best or not sure if I can ever make ”the best” stuff.
An indoor clip I filmed of Pete Ruikka for Carhartt WIP.
This was one of my first ”real” assignments for someone else than me, my friends or someone really close to me.
Sure I knew Bertrand from Carhartt WIP and Pete is still my best friend, but I remember having tiny butterflies on my stomach about this one.
Watching it now it’s surely nothing too special, but I still like the whole Black and White vibe of it. And Pete with long hair looks like the Conan Barbarian :D

For the annual HELride competition we got a bunch of friends and paint to completely make over the suvilahti diy park. We promised the paint supplier a little video as a pay back and while stressing with the organization of the competition I did this video pretty left handed. I uploaded it to facebook and in few weeks it was watched over 13 million times, had about 80 thousand shares and 18 thousand comments.
It makes me wonder if I would have done it bit better, would it have went viral? You never know.

It was my last day of a three months trip in Australia with my girlfriend at that time. We had a flight back from Cairns and I got this idea to film myself casually ”passing by” the park and it took me few hours, over heated camera and half of an sun stroke to complete this little line before bouncing to the airport. I liked the idea of it and did few other ”ohimennen” videos later with a bit of an helping hand. One from New York with Damian Argi and one from our dear Suvilahti DIY with Vantte Lindevall.

It’s shit. It’s poor. It’s ITÄ.
ITÄ is an outlet of our worst ideas and this is a perfect example of it.
Poor man series. If you can’t afford 8 bolts, no worries, we do bags of 4.
I had an vision of Hassinen under a bridge like a hobo and together with Pete and Hassinen we went and filmed this in few hours. It was cold and humid as hell but I’m glad we did it. Probably didn’t help us sell them thou.

I’ve edited a lot of skate videos. Short and long ones and kinda wanted to try a different perspective on this one. I felt like no one wanted to see another tour video so with help of other ITÄ guys we filmed a lot of each other with iphones trough the whole Tallin trip and this is the result. I’m really pleased to show you what goes on behind our trips.
We went to Belgium with ITÄ some time ago and something similar is on my table. You’ll see it soon.
