Taking cues from hiking and outdoor apparel of the 1980s, melded with a certain American west coast sensibility, this week’s S/S22 selection fuses soft, natural fabrics, such as cotton poplin, with a performance-orientated aesthetic. Embodying this combination are the Berm Jacket and Berm Pullover, which are accented with 3D pockets and cotton tape detailing, such as internal harness-like strapping and cinch hood fastenings inspired by vintage military smocks. The silhouettes of these outwear pieces, meanwhile, are relaxed and can be adjusted to be subtly voluminous.
The Dryden program is similar, made up of utilitarian garments featuring echoes of technical performance-wear, but executed in a soft, tactile cotton seersucker fabric. Items like the S/S Dryden Shirt and Dryden Jacket are detailed all over with checks and stripes, and composed of intricately woven, yarn-dyed fabric, resulting in more complex and longer lasting color configurations.
Complementing the selection are functional accessories like the Perth Backpack, which features a detachable shoulder bag at the front and reflective accents throughout. Elsewhere, elements of tie dye and styles bearing our outdoor ‘C’ logo complete the range.
