Cologne: tropical alien grooves

Canadian DJ and producer Phoebé Guillemot aka RAMZi is a nosy, open hearded girl. She likes to bump into new people, new sounds, new chords, new rhythms and melodies. Her music unites exotic samples, odd percussion and dreamy vocals into a tropical melting pot, in which Caribbean music, dub, balearic, video game sounds or Jazz are equal particles of a jam that some critics call Fifth World music. This weekend the Berliner-by-choice will perform in Cologne at Acephale, the city's place to be if you want to get enchanted by strange sounds from beyond. The evening is also the start of a new event serial called Future Roots Night, presendet by dublad.de with the help of Carhartt WIP. Before and after RAMZi's show, the dublab DJ’s Fizzy Veins, Joscha Creutzfeldt, Moritz M. and Jah Beers will thrill your senses.
