Celebrating some of the most talented new producers from Asia, Carhartt WIP launches Calibrate, a new broadcast series, featuring live streams from Hong Kong, Chengdu, Seoul and Taipei.
The first installment is on September 10, and features FM BELOWGROUND radio. Stationed in a basement in Hong Kong's bustling downtown BELOWGROUND, FM BELOWGROUND is powered by music collective Yeti Out and located at the Brinkworth-designed underground studio in the heart of the city. FM BELOWGROUND's mission is to connect creative tribes through the airwaves, bridging communities in one of the world's most populous cities with the mantra of "share, explore and document.” The station airs sonic oddities from all corners of the musical landscape across its 24-hour programming, as well as hosting production workshops and recording sessions with the aim of growing the local music and art community.
First on the line-up is Hong Kong-via-Berlin producer / DJ Mr Ho, co-founder of forward-thinking dance label Klasse Wrecks, alongside Yeti Out’s own Arthur Bray who heads left-field imprint Silkroad Sounds.
