Since then the band, that is called Konono N°1 shortly, caused the attention of the African continent with their positive percussiv melody driven music.
Finally in 2005 the seven piece group achieved international renown to many fans of Rock and Electronic music. Also Jazz stars like Herbie Hancock, who invited the band to work with him for his upcoming new longplayer, are in love with this enthusiastic likembé ensemble from Kinshasa. Now Konono N°1 visits Brussels to present their brand-new album Assume Crash Position live.
The second act of the night is Radioclit from London, who as well like to blend African rhythms with modern electronic sounds.
So if you like artists like M.I.A. or DJ Majuva, the Bal in the Box bash is the place to be in Brussel this Saturday.
