Carhartt WIP is proud to present Rex Club 1988-2023, a book celebrating and preserving over three decades of the iconic Parisian nightlife venue, ahead of the slated redesign for its 35th anniversary.
The publication offers an extensive look at the club’s interior through the photography of Maxime Verret, exploring the architecture, details, and peculiarities typically obscured by darkness. This is accompanied by various elements that nod to Rex Club’s storied history, such as past flyers, archive imagery and various ephemera, with art direction provided by Axel Pelletanche.
In addition to the book, Carhartt WIP has also created a series of special products, including two t-shirts and a graphic reworking of the brand’s Car-Lux Jacket. The accompanying images were shot by Etienne Chatelain, and feature iconic Rex acts such as Moodymann, DJ Gregory, Chloé Thevenin.
You can also find a preview of the book’s content, plus an interview with another DJ synonymous with the club, Laurent Garnier, in the latest issue of WIP magazine.
Rex Club 1988-2023 and accompanying special product will be available from Carhartt WIP Store Bastille from May 26.
