Lucerne: Shanti Celeste spreads love

Chilean born and Bristol raised Shanti Celeste is currently one of UK's the leading ladies of house music. It all started when she got a job at Idle Hands - Bristol's vinyl shop and more institution. After some years behind the counter, she now spends her time as a producer, DJ, vocalist, promoter, radio host at NTS and since 2011 also as a co-owner of record label BRSTL, that she runs with Idle Hands boss Chris Farrell. Since 2013 she has also released many EPs for labels like Apron, Idle Hands or Future Times. All of them deliver twisted house rhythms, some techno vibes and electronic spheres, that groove edgy while staying catchy. As a DJ she does not care about the expectations of the listeners. She just plays what her heart and soul tells her to. Sure: house is predominant. But also techno and other electronic grooves enlarge her sets with a diversity, that makes all open minded dancers and those who let oneself go, go ballistic. During her guest performance in Luzern, she gets accompanied by the locals DJ Mathieu and Kid Baba, that both like to spin vinyl that consist of Detroit coloured techno, house and disco.
