There has been so many different side-activities, from exhibitions like the Basementizid room or the ELZO Exhibition in our booth over skatevents like Element’s “Another Trick on the Wall” or the “Yama & Carhartt Mental Weirdo Race” to Film Premieres and the after-parties, the Bright weekend has been another really intense one. Our booth was located on the ground floor featuring one wall entirely decicated to the work of ELZO DURT, who was (very) present during the whole weekend. Elzo simply likes to celebrate. Check the photos from the booth and the Elzo exhibition.
Sergej Vutuc with his Basementizid room was in a passage-way room right next to the entrance and showed works from Stephanie Solinas, Marcel Veldman, Ale Formenti, Jocko Weyland, Via Grafik and screened “Deathbowl to Downtown” of Rick Charnoski and Buddy Nichols. Here some impressions.
The Carhartt and Yama Mental Weirdo Race took place on the streetcourse on Saturday and was a real crowd pleaser. Normal pushing during the race was prohibited and all the trys of mongo pushing ended up in a bunch of funny slams. The race was set up with a knock-out system, where two Skaters start at the same time and the one to reach the finish line first goes one round further. After a banging head to head battle, Kilian Heuberger took first place just in front of Christian Krause. Elias Assmuth won the “looser’s final” and took 3rd place. Here a few impressions from the race shot by Percy Dean:
Our friend and Carhartt collegue Tim Korbmacher came as well and shot a nice series of b/w photos. Tim also has a website with his photos now, check www.timkorbmacher.blogspot.com.
Thanks again to everyone involved making the Bright another fun and unforgettable weekend!
