For one day the cute lido Lörick, located in Düsseldorf, gets enchant by electric influenced rhythms, hiphop beats and dubstep.
One of the charismatic artists you can expect is the American weirdo Otto von Schirach, who plays an exclusive gig with the porno rap oddball legend Blowfly—extraterrestrial entertainment guaranteed. For the hiphop folks Fat Jon and Guilty Simpson come around to deliver some deep soul raps. Also turntable wizard and world champion DJ Rafik tortures the needles and ecstasize your eyes and ears.
Headliners of the day program are Uffie & DJ Feads and the Canadian duo Junior Boys. The Parisian Uffie is currently the queen of Ed Banger Records and the most wanted female nu rave grrrl known best for extra large rave signals. However the Junior Boys like pop and fuse it accessible with deeply absorbing house beats.
After midnight the night location opens and Berlins crazy duo Modeselektor will set your ears on fire with a clash of dubstep, hiphop, breakbeat and techno. Later it goes straight to the floor and all dancers who hate to hit the pillow before sunrise get what they need. Because acts like Jake The Rapper, Antonelli or Andy Vaz love the bassdrum and deliver some sweat rhythms between minimal, house and techno.
So you better put your dancing shoes on if you want to join us at the Open Source Festival 2008. Because it’s all about the move and groove!
