Rewire is back, bringing a three day festival for all kinds of music. Taking place in The Hague from 29th to 31st March, the ninth edition continues the festival's tradition of featuring adventurous music, highlighting multidisciplinary crossovers and forward-thinking artists that push boundaries, and rewiring the idea of what music and performance can be today.
A wide range of genre-pushing musical acts will take over different locations around town. Actress & Young Paint will perform a hybrid human-AI show. American singer-songwriter, composer and producer Julia Holter will play a special a one-off show as Julia Holter Duo, together with legendary Japanese sound installation artist and musician Tashi Wada. Furthermore, Chilean-American composer and recording artist Nicolas Jaar will play two special shows displaying two different faces of his ramified musical output. Also on the bill is Tirzah, Angel-Ho, Jessica Pratt, Foodman, Laurel Halo, Lotic, Violet (PT), Upsammy and Nosedrip, to name a few.
Also: Carhartt WIP will proudly present a stage where British artist Lafawndah will melt her soulful vocals with Middle Eastern and Caribbean rhythm, London rapper Flohio will showcase abrasive bars, Uganda-based artist Otim Alpha will spread rave reworkings of traditional African wedding music, and Cyberpunk-influenced producer Sega Bodega will recreate his interdisciplinary self*care project with special stage design from Shaun Murphy.
