Manchester Carnival welcomes NTS soundsystem

With a little help from Carhartt WIP, the NTS soundsystem takes on Manchester Carnival for the first time. The Caribbean Carnival of the United Kingdom's second-most populous urban area goes down at the city’s Alexandra Park and will showcase a huge celebration of Caribbean music.
 
NTS can be found at M16 7JL on Saturday between 12 and 8pm, as well as on Sunday between 1 and 8pm. On Saturday’s bill is NTS reggae resident Felix Hall, the duo Full Beam FM – consisting of the Mancunians RUF DUG & Randy Brunson playing a street soul set – the local Tom Boogizm and the female duo Whirldfuzzz amongst others. On Sunday, Florentino provides tunes for lovers, Katbrownsugar drops hot hip hop and R'n'B, and the Swing Ting collective shares all sorts of reggae gems. Come by and dance under the open sky.
