Oddisee is back from a cold winter, in which he did nothing else then writing music. The result: his new album, called The Iceberg. It is peppered with thoughtful rhymes and soulful music and was made for all folks, who believe that a better tomorrow exists. "The topic of my latest album is digging beneath the surface to understand that things are far more complex and deeper that we understand. I want to encourage critical thinking and each song on the album is dedicated to encouraging a deeper thought on lots of everyday things in life such as finance, love, or mental health. I want to create some kind of sympathy towards people who are different from ourself and to show how similar we all are. I hope my record works like a bridge to create an open form of discussion." he explains. How truly he means his words can be experienced when Oddisee and his fabulous band are playing live. Because the frontman is not just a regular hip hop entertainer that jumps around, spits some rhymes and then says Goodbye! He is always keen to speak with his fans before and after the show in order to discuss his outspoken issues directly. On stage Oddisee is an entertainer, that knows for what a thrilling concert is good for: fun, energy and deeply grooving music. In 2016 he played more than 100 live shows. In 2017 he will top this mark. "My next tour will go until December. And you cannot do that if you do not have fun on the stage and share the music with your fans." he says. The beginning of his global The Iceberg mission will be in Europe and Carhartt WIP proudly presents concerts in France, the UK, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and more. Beyond the big shows, Oddisee will also play some intimate gigs at selected Carhartt WIP stores in Bristol, Manchester, Munich, Cologne, Barcelona and Zurich.
