Bilbao: Marie Davidson live at Paraleloan

With Adieux Au Dancefloor the Canadian synthesizer artist, producer and poet Marie Davidson has released one of the most striking female solo albums in 2016. Already as one half of the Montréal based duo Essaie Pas she has demonstrated her talent as a unique synthwave composer. In her solo works she blends gloomy synthesizer spheres with cold moving rhythms and lost in reverie spoken words, that partly remind on artists like Laurie Anderson. Live, her deep physical music works straightforwardly to pitchfork the audience straight to the dancefloor. During her guest performance in Bilbao, the Paris based DJ and producer Low Jack will spin before and after her performance. The man behind the label Editions Gravats is a versatile DJ, who likes to play all sorts of dance music, longing from industrial to cold and minimal wave as well as techno, experimental electronic cuts and weird scratchy ambient. Check his latest BBC 1 mix to get into the groove for an unusual raving party meltdown.
