We caught up with new Carhartt WIP rider Rémy Taveira for a quick chat about TAV, travelling the world and plans for the future.
Hi Rémi. How are things going?
All good man. I'm in Lisbon right now!
Nice! Please give us a quick information about you.
Im from Paris, 26 years old, started skating 13 years ago.
Let’s talk about TAV. How long took it to film for TAV?
I would say one year and a half... Too be honest, I dont really know exactly. I just wanted to film a little VX clip in Paris with Guillaume Perimony. We had gathered quite some good footy and Joseph (Biais) had some good stuff aswell so we decided to do something together for Carhartt WIP.
We went quite naturally on missions with Guillaume like we always use to do, then Joseph decided to fly over some of the guys to Paris for like a 10 day trip, so OZ's Josh Pall and Sammy Winter, Felipe Bartolomé from Spain and Tolia Titaev from Russia joined us!
The guy was mad furious and was chasing us outside the Louvres across the bridge for so long...
Do any memories of filming for it stand out?
That time when we went to the Louvres to try to film that trick and the security guard started chasing me like an animal and everyone ended up running different directions. The guy was mad furious and was chasing us outside the Louvres across the bridge for so long... He took his job a bit too seriously.
As I can see following you on Facebook, you are traveling a lot. What are your plans for 2018?
Im starting to get all my trips planned for this year. Its really exciting.. Taïwan, Hawaii, Las Vegas...
Wow. Sounds good. What was the most beautiful trip you ever did?
Probably Marroco or Mauritius Island.
What do you do when you are not on your board?
I hang out with my friends. Take some photographs, play pool, go rock climbing, stretch out ... But definetly spending much time at the bar.
Are you working on any personal projects?
Right now not really, but some fresh stuff is coming for 2018.
Thanks a lot for your time and enjoy 2018!
