Paris: triple madness on the wheels of steel

Now our long time collaborator, French event Free Your Funk, which Carhartt is proud to have supported in the past with events guest starring artists like DJ Spinna, DJ Jazzy Jeff, or Neneh Cherry, bring DJ Premier to Paris.

Together with Guru, who recently passed away, Premier formed the duo Gang Starr. Their combination of New York Swing Jazz and Hip Hop wrote East Coast Hip Hop history. And that not at least because nobody brought heavy drums and sparse sample loops of old Jazz, Funk, and Soul artist together like Premier did.

Beside Gang Starr he also produced Hip Hop all-time classics for artists such as Jeru the Damaja, Group Home, Nas, Notorious B.I.G., KRS-1, Buckshot Lefonque, M.O.P., and many many more.

Now DJ Premier, or Primo for short, plays in Paris, accompanied by fellow producer heavyweights The Alchemist and Just Blaze and together they will present their latest productions alongside indispensable classics.

So if you are around Paris next Friday, be sure to attend Free Your Funk so you won’t miss the opportunity to see this triple madness on the wheels of steel.
